NPCC Lady Knight Volleyball to Host Northeast

npcc volleyballThe North Platte Community College Lady Knight Volleyball team will host the Northeast Community College Lady Hawks on Thursday, October 1at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium at 7 pm.

The Lady Knights enter the match with a 7-15 record.  Valerie Most leads the Lady Knights in kills with 198.  Most also has a .186 kill efficiency.  MacKenna Ketter leads the Lady Knights in kill efficiency with .210 with 190 kills.  Jessica Lovitt leads the Lady Knights in total blocks with 60.  Shelby Wolever has 373 set assists and Megan Chintala has 344 digs to lead in those categories.

The Lady Hawks are 10-7 on the season and ranked 20th in the past National Junior College Athletic Association Division II poll.  They are led in kills by Taryn Luedtke with 185 kills. Luedtke has a .112 kill efficiency.  Kelsey Shoemaker leads the Lady Hawks in kill efficiency at .163 with 140 kills.  Shoemaker also has 65 total blocks to lead the Lady Hawks.  Meagan Backer leads the team with 358 defensive digs and Kiara Lopez has357 set assists.

This match is the sixth time in seven matches that the Lady Knights will face a ranked team.

The match is designated as “Pink Out Night”.  All attendees are encouraged to wear pink to increase awareness of breast cancer.  All who wear pink will be offered a North Platte Community College Knights sticker.
