OGALLALA, Neb. (AP) — Officials say a fishing bridge at the north end of Lake Ogallala State Recreation Area will be replaced.

Nebraska Game and Parks Commission staffers assessed wind damage in late February and determined the bridge wasn’t safe to use. It will be removed.

The commission already was planning to replace it, and the new bridge is expected to be finished early next year.
