Sterling, CO – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights Volleyball team finished the Pizza Hut Invitational with two wins on Saturday to go 2-2 in the tournament.

They defeated the Cloud County Community College in their first match of the day in three sets. 25-10, 25-19, and 25-20. Josie Palmer finished the match with seven kills, while MaKenna Ketter and Aly Camacho each added six.  Shelby Wolever had 24 set assists, and Megan Chintala had 13 defensive digs.

In the final match of the tournament for the Lady Knights, they defeated the Otero Junior College Lady Rattlers in five sets, 27-25, 16-25, 25-20, 14-25, and 16-14.  Palmer again led the Lady Knights in kills with 11.  Jessica Lovitt added 10 kills and Antonya Schaffert had nine.  Wolever had 37 set assists to pace the Lady Knights.  Chintala had 25 defensive digs and Schaffert added 22 for the Lady Knights.

The Lady Knights are now 6-8 on the season.  They will travel to Seward on Tuesday, Sept 13 to play the Concordia University Junior Varsity at 7 p.m.
