Tara L. Baker Rogers (1977 – 2019)

Tara L. (Baker) Rogers, 41, of North Platte passed away on May 3, 2019 surrounded by her family at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska. She was born on July 3, 1977 to Lynn Baker and Dallas Baker in North Platte.

Tara graduated in 1996 from North Platte High School. She was employed at JC Penney’s and Dowhower Construction. Tara was the youngest female volunteer firefighter and was an EMT for the Fire Department. She was also a member of the Lincoln County Dive Rescue Team. She had the biggest heart and was always willing to lend a hand, and most recently, volunteering loading trucks for Nebraska flood victims. Tara was a member of the Eagles Club and played on their pool team. She also belonged to the Eagle Riders.

Tara is survived by her parents, Lynn (Jeff) McCammon and Dallas (Rose) Baker; a son, Dylan Hill; siblings, Dan (Connie) Baker, Kristy (Nick) Bryant, Adrienne (Steffan) Burrett, Ashley (Brady) Robirds, and Aaron (Jamie) Smith; nieces and nephews, Gracelynn, Taylor, Gavin, Parker, Gia, Brooks, Hannah, Myles, Destiny, Breydon, McKinzie, Anna, Jaylen, and Jayce; grandparents, Gloria Lorentzen and George McCammon; aunts & uncles, Robert W. Lorentzen, Sharlyn Scritsmier, Dave (Bekcy) McCammon, Stanley (Janet) McCammon, Jean (John) Kandt, Beth (Steve) Clair and Dee (Mark) Luttrell; a best friend, Lori Sargent; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bud and Ruth Bloomstedt, Voris Baker, Emma Kallhoff, Robert S. Lorentzen and Cleda McCammon.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1400 East E Street, North Platte, Nebraska. Cremation was chosen. Memorial book signing with family receiving friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, may 8, 2019 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, 1616 West B Street in North Platte, which is in care of arrangements.
