CHICAGO (AP) — Brock Osweiler threw for two touchdowns while starting for the injured Peyton Manning, and the Denver Broncos stopped Jeremy Langford on a 2-point conversion run in the final minute to beat the Chicago Bears 17-15 on Sunday.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Peyton Manning has a partially torn plantar fascia in his right foot, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Speaking on condition of anonymity because the Broncos haven’t addressed specifics of Manning’s injury, the person confirmed reports from ESPN and KCNC-TV in Denver that Manning has a tear in the thick tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes and creates the arch of the foot. DENVER (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs prevented Peyton Manning from getting the one record he really wanted, trouncing the Denver Broncos 29-13 Sunday on the strength of five interceptions and five field goals.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Star cornerback Aqib Talib will sit out the Denver Broncos’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday after losing his appeal of a one-game suspension for poking a player in the eye.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Denver Broncos star cornerback Aqib Talib was suspended one game without pay for poking Indianapolis tight end Dwayne Allen in his right eye in the waning minutes of Denver’s 27-24 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Talib said afterward he didn’t intend to poke Allen, but was only trying to shove him away from Von Miller.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Andrew Luck threw two touchdown passes and Adam Vinatieri made a tie-breaking 55-yard field goal with 6:13 to play, giving Indianapolis a surprising 27-24 victory over Denver.
The Colts (4-5) ended a three-game losing streak and stayed atop the AFC South by ruining Peyton Manning’s return to Indy again.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos have acquired two-time Pro Bowl tight end Vernon Davis from the San Francisco 49ers.
“He’ll be a valuable addition to our team w/his experience & leadership,” Broncos GM John Elway tweeted.

DENVER (AP) — In only the fourth meeting of teams 6-0 or better, Peyton Manning tied Brett Favre’s NFL record with his 186th regular-season win and Denver’s defense rattled Aaron Rodgers into one of the worst games of his career in the Broncos’ 29-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Coach Gary Kubiak says the Broncos dodged major injuries to first-round draft pick Shane Ray and star wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders in their 26-23 overtime win at Cleveland.
