SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Linebacker Von Miller earned Super Bowl MVP honors Sunday night, forcing two fumbles and getting 2 1/2 sacks to help the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 for the championship.

Five years after being drafted No. 2 behind Cam Newton, Miller harassed Carolina’s quarterback from start to finish.

DENVER (AP) — Peyton Manning replaced Brock Osweiler in the third quarter Sunday and led the Broncos a 27-20 win over the San Diego Chargers that clinched the top seed in the AFC playoffs for Denver.

DENVER (AP) — DeMarcus Ware beat AJ McCarron to a fumbled snap in overtime, sending the Denver Broncos into the playoffs with a 20-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Peyton Manning is vehemently refuting a report set to air on Al Jazeera that contends the Denver Broncos quarterback received human growth hormone through his wife during his recovery from neck fusion surgeries in 2011 in Indianapolis.

In a statement Saturday night, Manning said: “The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up. It never happened. Never.”

DENVER (AP) — Tom Brady lost yet another one of his trusted targets and this time he also lost a game.

C.J. Anderson scored on a 48-yard run with 12:32 left in overtime, powering the Denver Broncos past the New England Patriots 30-24 on a snowy Sunday night.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — With Peyton Manning out until at least mid-December, the Denver Broncos have bolstered their depth at quarterback by signing Christian Ponder.

The former Minnesota Vikings first-rounder will serve as the Broncos’ third QB behind starter Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemian.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Peyton Manning will miss at least the next two weeks after consulting with a foot specialist who put him in a walking boot.

Manning sought a second opinion from renowned foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina on Monday.
