The North Platte Bulldogs boys basketball team (3-21) will be the 4th seed in the Class A District 3 tournament. The Bulldogs will face No. 1 seed Creighton Prep (21-3) in their opening game this Saturday, January 23rd at 2:30 pm at Creighton Prep. The Bulldogs lost 76-29 in their first meeting this season against Creighton Prep on the road.

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Danny Woodhead had his first career four-touchdown game and Philip Rivers recovered a fumble on a play that began with him throwing an interception as the Chargers beat the Miami Dolphins 30-14 Sunday In what might have been the final NFL game in San Diego.

Woodhead caught TD passes of 20, 9 and 9 yards, and scored on a 2-yard run for the Chargers (4-10), who failed to score a touchdown in each of their previous two home games. The North Platte Lady Bulldogs capped off a tremendous 2015 volleyball season with a runner-up finish in the Class A State Tournament. It was North Platte’s best finish since the 1980 state championship team, and their fourth all-time state championship game appearance. The Lady Bulldogs fell to top seed Omaha Marian 3-0 in the championship match, as the Crusaders won their third consecutive state title. North Platte swept Lincoln Southeast in three straight sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-14) to advance to the semi-finals of the Class A State Tournament. STATE TOURNAMENT BRACKET

The North Platte Lady Bulldogs, as expected,  received the No. 2 seed in the Class A state volleyball tournament. The NSAA released the official brackets on Saturday evening, North Platte will face Lincoln Southeast at 5:30 pm on Thursday, Nov. 12 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln in the opening round of the state tournament.
