Columbus – The North Platte Community College Knights basketball team continued their winning ways by defeating the Central Community College Raiders 96-69.
The game was a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference game. The Knights are 3-0 in the conference and Southeast is 0-2.
The Knights are 12-8 on the season and on a four game winning streak.

Beatrice – The North Platte Community College Knights defeated the Southeast Community College Storm 83-55 at the Truman Center in a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference game on Friday night.
The Knights improve to 11-8 on the season and 2-0 in the NCCAC.
At the 10 minute mark in the first half the Knights held a 15-14 lead. The Knights outscored the Storm 24-11 to take a 39-25 halftime lead.
In the second half the Knights started the half on a 11-2 rim to extend their lead to 50-27.
The Storm did cut the lead to 15 on back to back three-pointers.
Tim Wagner led the Knights with 20 points and seven assists. Next in scoring was Tyree Peter with 16 points. Peter had his third consecutive double-double and eighth on the season by grabbing 19 rebounds. Leito Holloway was the third Knight to score in double figures with 10. Michael Mitchell had double digits in rebounding with 12 and missed having a double-double by one point finishing with nine.
The Storm are 7-9 overall and 0-2 in the NCCAC.
The Storm were led in scoring by Taylor Britt with 13 points as the lone Southeast player to reach double digits. Kwame Brown led the Storm with six rebounds.
The Knights out rebounded the Storm 59-31.
Beatrice – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team defeated the Southeast Community College Storm 66-59 at the Truman Center in Beatrice on Friday night in a National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Division II matchup.

North Platte – The North Platte Community College Knights men’s and women’s basketball teams travel to Beatrice to face the Southeast Community College Storm on Friday, January 22.
On the women’s side, the game is a National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Division II and a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference matchup.

North Platte – The North Platte Community College Knights basketball team played their third consecutive game that went down to the wire when they defeated the McCook Community College Indians 95-93 on Wednesday night at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.

North Platte – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team upset the McCook Community College Lady Indians 67-64 on Wednesday night at the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.
The Lady Knights started the game with a 3-pointer by Sarah Mahr to take the 3-0 lead. The first quarter was tight and went back and forth. Chante Church had nine of the Lady Indians 15 first quarter points. The Lady Indians led by as much as five points and finished the first quarter leading 15-12. The North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team has announced the signing of Aly Camacho of Scottsbluff, Neb.
Camacho, a 6’ 0” middle blocker, played for coach Kenna Urwiller and the Scottsbluff High School Lady Bearcats. Camacho was a three-sport athlete in high school and started three years in volleyball.
Urwiller said, “I watched Aly develop as a volleyball player. She started playing volleyball in the eighth grade. She is one of the most competitive people I know.” Continue reading “NPCC Volleyball Signs Camacho”
The North Platte Community College Knights men’s and women’s basketball teams will face the McCook Community College Indians on Wednesday, January 20. The women’s game will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by the men’s game at approximately 7:30 pm.

The North Platte Community College Knights basketball team played their second overtime game in two days. This time the Knights came out on the winning end by defeating the Trinidad State Junior College Trojans 89-82 on “Boy Scout” night.
The Knights started the game with two field goals by Victor Lewis to give the Knights a 4-0 lead. The Trojans fought their way back to take the lead 9-7 with 15 minutes left in the first half. The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team were defeated by the Central Community College Lady Raiders 64-56 in the first National Junior College Athletic Association Region IX Division II contest for both teams.
