The Associated Press Nebraska high school football rankings in Classes A through D2. Listings include name of school, season record, previous week’s ranking, previous week’s result and this week’s opponent (NR-not ranked last week). The rankings are based on a formula that includes ratings from the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star plus experts for each class. Class A: Dale Miller, Grand Island Independent. North Platte softball No. 1 seed for B-6 district tournament
North Platte High School softball received the top seed for the B-6 district tournament this Thursday and Friday in Gering/Scottsbluff. North Platte will face the winner of the No. 4 Gering vs. No. 5 Scottsbluff game on Thursday at 3:00 pm CT in Gering. The Lady Bulldogs won the B-6 district tournament last season and will be looking for their second consecutive trip to the state tournament. The six district tournament champions, plus two additional wildcard point qualifiers in Class B will make the 2016 NSAA state softball tournament.
NPCC Lady Knights Volleyball Travels to Play McCook
North Platte – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights volleyball team will travel to play the McCook Community College Lady Indians on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m.
