AP Source: Volquez loses father before World Series start

Estrada leads Blue Jays over Royals 7-1 to force ALCS Game 6

kc-royalsTORONTO (AP) — Marco Estrada pitched one-hit ball into the eighth inning, giving Toronto’s tattered bullpen a rest and leading the Blue Jays over the Kansas City Royals 7-1 Wednesday to close to 3-2 in the American League Championship Series.

Royals rout Blue Jays 14-2, 1 win from World Series return

kc-royalsTORONTO (AP) — Ben Zobrist hit a two-run homer on knuckleballer R.A. Dickey’s fourth pitch of the game, Alex Rios connected an inning later and the Kansas City Royals routed the Toronto Blue Jays 14-2 Tuesday to move one win from a second straight World Series.

Royals’ Cueto accuses Blue Jays of stealing signs in Game 3

kc-royalsTORONTO (AP) — Kansas Royals pitcher Edinson Volquez says teammate Johnny Cueto believes the Toronto Blue Jays were stealing signs in their Game 3 victory Monday night in the American League Championship Series.

Back home, Blue Jays break out to beat Royals 11-8 in Game 3

kc-royalsTORONTO (AP) — Troy Tulowitzki and Josh Donaldson each homered in a six-run third inning, and Toronto’s bats broke out at home for an 11-8 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Monday night that trimmed the Blue Jays’ deficit to 2-1 in the AL Championship Series.

Volquez sharp as Royals beat Blue Jays 5-0 in ALCS opener

The Royals right-hander combined with three relievers on a three-hitter, Salvador Perez hit a soaring home run off Toronto starter Marco Estrada, and Kansas City rolled to a 5-0 victory in Game 1 of their American League Championship Series.
